I Lose Ten Pounds With The Medifast Program Diet
Diet plans promise the moon and the sky, but they don’t actually deliver was my opinion before I started the Medifast diet plan. However, today I know that this is not true and there is a program that fulfills all its promises. I have been burdened with a weight problem for a long time and my poor eating habits combined with lack of exercise did nothing to solve the problem. I have tried various diet methods and programs such as the low carb diet, the no carb diet and many others, but have not found success. At the end of the day, I was always tired, depressed and didn’t want to go on. I kept going back to my old lifestyle and my weight kept going up. In fact it grew so much that I found I couldn’t fit into my old clothes and when I went shopping I realized I couldn’t find my size in any regular store and had to go to a specialty store! Then I came across the Medifast diet plan and on the advice of my doctor I started the plan. I’m new to the program, but I have to say that even though I’m only two and a half weeks into the program, I’ve already lost 10 pounds!
What is this program?
Well, first of all, this program is a very low calorie diet plan that uses meal replacement supplements as a quick and effective method of weight loss. This is a clinically tested program where results have revealed that a person on this diet can lose between 2-5 pounds each week. This program believes that eating smaller portions more times a day ensures that calorie intake is just below the required threshold and results in excess body fat being burned in order to create adequate calories. In other words, when your calorie intake is just below what is required, you tend to burn the existing mass in your body and this leads to weight loss. On this schedule you tend to eat every 2-3 hours so you never go hungry.
What does your diet consist of?
Medifast meal replacement supplements include a wide variety of food items such as shakes, bars, oatmeal, puddings, hot and cold drinks, soups and chili. These come in individual containers and each is a properly portioned amount that is perfect for a single meal. All one has to do is add water to the mixture and either put it in the fridge or in the microwave and your meal is ready in minutes. There are two types of meal plans, the full meal replacement plan and the 5 and 1 meal replacement plan. I chose the 5 and 1 meal replacement plan where five of my meals were meal replacement supplements and one meal was a regular meal consisting of Medifast approved leans and greens.
Why does it work for me?
This diet plan is different and more effective than others because it allows us to eat to fill our stomach and does not believe in deprivation. The routine of eating healthy every 2-3 hours a day has ensured that I never go hungry. My whole lifestyle has changed and I can see the difference already. It is a very easy diet plan but you have to have the strength to stick to it. There have been and will be many invitations for lunch and dinner but you should stick to your diet and not leave your goal. It is difficult as it requires the strength to say no to your favorite foods, but if you follow the diet plan strictly then you will also see the difference I have experienced. I have already lost 10 kilos, not a significant weight loss but it has definitely made a difference in the way I look at life. It has made me stronger and more positive about this diet and all I can say in conclusion is that you have to try it to know the difference.
