How to Make Vista Faster

Microsoft launched Vista to the world in 2006 amid much media fanfare. With a reported $10 billion spent on its development, everyone expected a system that was more revolutionary and innovative than ever before. For the most part, that’s what we got… but for some people, Vista just wasn’t fast enough. In fact, many people complained that Vista was running slowly, and here’s why:

Vista was designed to be “future proof”. This means that Microsoft tried to add some features to make it able to compete with Linux and Apple Mac in the years to come. Unfortunately, this meant that Vista became very dependent on many system resources. For example, its minimum requirements are that it needs 2 GB of RAM (memory) and a fairly good processor. The downside is that most people (and new computers) don’t have this level of resources, which made Vista run slowly.

And of course, a slow computer is never fun. In fact, it’s frustrating and annoying when you can’t even do simple tasks like check email or drop off a letter. This was a problem millions of people were facing, which made Vista seem like a “bridge too far” for Microsoft… until a simple way to make it faster was discovered.

Right now, I’m writing this article on my 4-year-old laptop, which is happily running Vista Ultimate, with only 800mb of ram and a lame processor. It’s not slow and it’s actually a very nice computer to use… all because of a simple fix that’s one of the best ways to make Vista run faster .

It’s all about something called the ‘registry’. This is the central database that Windows uses to store all of your computer’s files and settings. Everything from your recent emails to your desktop wallpaper is stored in this database, making it one of the most important parts of your system. Because of this importance, Windows is constantly adding and editing files within it, which actually leads to it making some corrupt/damaged.

Of course, because Vista needs these files, it will simply slow down if they are corrupt. This is the main reason why Vista is slow for so many people – because the “hidden parts” of their system are just a complete spider web of corrupt files. Fortunately, there is an incredibly easy way to fix this. All you need to do is fix all the bad registry files that are slowing down your computer. However, since the registry has over 10,000 files in its database, it is simply impossible for a single person to fix it by themselves.

Here it is registry cleaners come in These software tools scan through your registry and fix all the corrupted files that are there. This allows Vista to find the files it needs, when it needs them… making it much faster. In fact, you’ll be surprised how much faster your computer is after you use one of these registry programs to speed it up. The solution is so simple yet so powerful. I have used it on my laptop and it is working very well for me.
