Stop Bedwetting and ADHD Behaviors – Start Probiotics For Children
My son comes from a long line of bedwetters. I can’t count the hours of lost sleep since he woke up to potty. I can’t count how many quarters I’ve spent washing sheets. The pediatrician told me not to worry because the bladder doesn’t mature until age 7. I would invite her to help me drag the sheets up and down the four flights of stairs every time the bed was wet. Personally, I had better things to do than wash the sheets every night after work. I’d rather invest my time and money in a home business and spend quality time with my son at the park so he can burn off some energy.
I learned from a video called Annoyed by the children’s behavior by Sue Dengate that food dyes and other chemical additives irritate the bladder and cause hyperactivity and aggression. I learned from my preschool that there are simple exercises that integrate a primitive reflex called the Spinal Galant reflex. So I put my whole family on an additive-free diet and did worm exercises with my son.
The bedwetting eventually stopped completely.
Then my son broke his arm. The bone pierced the skin, so the doctors at the hospital put him on antibiotics. He received two injections full of antibiotics for a small puncture wound.
In the hospital he kept waking up to go to the bathroom because he was on iv after surgery.
When we got home he started to wet the bed again.
Even when I took him to the potty in the middle of the night, still wet the bed.
Then he developed a high fever and developed an ear infection and pink eye.
The doctors put him on more antibiotics.
(In a room full of doctors and nurses, it took nearly an hour to find an antibiotic without artificial dyes.)
I knew it from Dianne Craft’s CD Behavioral biology that antibiotics cause yeast overgrowth and lower the body’s defenses and cause ADHD behaviors such as hyperactivity and aggression. I used to give my son acidophilus tablets because he was very hyperactive. But since we started the additive-free diet, I haven’t relied on probiotics as much.
Finally, when he was too sick to go to his birthday party, I took him anyway and let the fresh air, sunshine and good old friends cure him of his woes. From that moment on, I decided not to continue the antibiotics.
I doubled the acidophilus tablets and served him a kefir smoothie to clear his system of antibiotics and disease. Acidophilus tablets contain milk-loving bacteria that break down milk proteins and restore a healthy balance of intestinal flora. Cultured dairy products such as kefir, yogurt, and cheese contain Lactobacillus acidophilus as well as other cultures that help the body control the overgrowth of candida albicans and candidiasis.
A few days later the bedwetting stopped. He didn’t get sick again either. I exposed him to as much fresh air and sunlight as possible to keep him in a good mood and active.
Then when he went to have the splint replaced, the doctors wanted to prescribe more antibiotics.
WHY?!! For surgery, they said. I almost fell off my chair. Antibiotics to cut off the splint and cover the arm in a cast?
I refused the prescription. My son has been waking up dry and healthy ever since.
So think twice before giving your child antibiotics. Consult your pediatrician. If you choose antibiotics, consider using acidophilic and cultured dairy products such as kefir, yogurts, and cheeses in conjunction with antibiotics. Be sure to ask about different antibiotics without food dyes. There is a generic version of Amoxycillin that comes in a white chewable tablet that tastes like sweet cakes.
Traditional societies have used cultured dairy products for centuries for health and vitality. So it makes sense that we should too. Continue to take acidophilus, especially after stopping the prescription of antibiotics to restore the balance of healthy gut flora. Make farm-raised dairy products part of your family’s daily diet.
Stop wasting your time and hard-earned money washing your sheets. You could be working from home and investing in your future with all the time you waste changing bed linen and washing sheets. You could enjoy quality time with your calm child who used to be an ADHD child.
