Unfortunately, many of us have experienced these all-too-familiar problems.
Fortunately, getting rid of muffin tops is just three simple steps:
• Change of clothes
• Changing your diet
• Targeted exercise
In this article, I will cover these three areas that are the keys to success with losing your muffin top for good.
Changing your clothes
This step is really ridiculously easy!
What many people don’t know is that wearing tight clothing is the most common cause of a muffin top – which is why even the skinnier women among us can suffer from it!
When shopping for pants, underwear, or any piece of clothing that rests around your hips, it’s important to think about finding something that fits your body rather than what’s in fashion or what your friends are wearing.
This mindset change can be difficult as it may mean going up a size or changing style, but you won’t look back once you find your clothes fit better and you look amazing – no one needs to know, let alone the size.
Changing your diet
Many weight problems are caused when the body does not receive a properly balanced diet.
People who eat a lot of salty or sugary foods (especially chemical-laden microwaved and processed foods) cause their bodies to store fat because it would be harmful to their organs to process so much sugar and salt at once.
The body keeps this fat to use for energy later, but if you keep loading up on more of these unhealthy foods, the fat never gets a chance to be used and more is piled on top of it.
This can start a vicious cycle of weight gain that directly affects your muffin top and other related issues.
Many of us don’t understand that this is how the body works, which is why we will eat sugary treats and white bread, but once we have this knowledge, we can put it to good use!
This means ditching those salty, sugary processed foods and replacing them with healthy, natural foods like fruits, vegetables, sweet potatoes, and even butter!

There are many exercises you can do to tone your hips and waist, but my personal favorite is hula hooping!
Hula hoops are cheap and a lot of fun, which makes it easy for me to stay motivated to use them – it doesn’t even feel like exercise!
All you have to do is stand inside the hoop and hold it so that one edge rests against the back of your waist, then spin it with your hands and use a twisting motion in your hips to try and keep the hoop rotating around your waist. . Once it drops, turn it the other way and continue until you have done about 20 minutes of hula.
Bright colors are great for engaging children. I like to encourage hula competitions to see who can last the longest because it helps me get the best workout and appeals to the competitive natures of my two.
In addition to targeted exercise, I would suggest trying about half an hour of general exercise each day.
But don’t let that put you off, I’m not talking about half an hour of exercise, it could just be going for a walk or vacuuming.
