Baby Food Jar Craft Ideas
Interested in baby food crafts? There are many ideas for recycling these baby food jars. This would have to be my favorite use for those baby food jars. I shared this idea with many of my friends and they also said it was a total hit with their child. It’s so simple.
- Simply collect every lid from every jar, whether it’s a baby food jar or a pasta jar lid.
- Place them in the dishwasher and sterilize.
- Then fill a large plastic container with these lids. I buy rice in a large plastic container and it is perfect for collecting the lids.
When my baby was less than 7 months old, he loved holding the lids and snapping them together. He found that they were rolling and then began to fold them. They were perfect for his small grip.
At around 7 months he started putting them back into the plastic container one by one.
At about 11 months, he loved flipping the plastic container and trying to pop all the lids and then of course put them back.
When he was about 14 months old, he started using lids for cooking.
Now 21 months old, he still plays with baby food cup lids.
We once borrowed a toy from a friend because Jamie loved playing with it so much at home. When I asked her if there was a toy that Jamie had that she would like to borrow, she said “I could actually get some of your baby food lids”.
The funniest toys are usually free and in our house all the time.
