HEALTHFUL TIPS 101 – For Holistic Living

Hi everybody,

Australia is one of many Western societies becoming a place of persistent, poor overconsumption of nutrients. Many Australians have poor time management combined with the wrong motivations and misinformation, health has been pushed to the back of our minds. The health of our Western civilization is rapidly declining. Greater influence from pharmaceutical companies leads many to artificial and short-term answers. Weight loss surgeries and weight loss pills are becoming the norm in our society. Pharmaceutical companies pump millions of pills into the unsuspecting public to merely treat the “symptoms”* of deficiencies associated with poor health and at the same time the multiple negative reactions force many to go through the whole process again months or even weeks or days later to get more “Bandaid Solutions”*.

This article presents a practical approach to achieving and maintaining Optimal Health

• NUTRITION. Your knowledge and wisdom

With the weather as fickle as it is around the world, cool to the chills of fall (autumn) and winter, or warming to the scorching temperatures of hot summer days, it’s important to fuel the body with the right amount of HEALTHY, FRESH and ORGANIC nutrition to support a sustainable healthy lifestyle. Consume some fresh homemade vegetable soups that are quickly absorbed into the body due to their already liquid state. Fresh fruit is also a key part of a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, as well as lean and organic meats from chicken and beef to fish and other ultra-lean game meats that are extremely high in protein and iron while being very low in fat.

Most local fresh food markets (NOT SUPERMARKETS) are a great source of healthy, nutrient-dense foods and you can enjoy the atmosphere with a friend for a healthy meal. If you can’t get to the markets and your only option is the supermarket, then I encourage you to shop from the outer edge of the store where all the freshest vegetables, meats, dairy and freshest bread are kept. Buy or even grow (if you can) some herbs and spices to enhance the flavor of your meals as well as increase the amount of minerals in your diet. Minerals help the body absorb all the vitamins that work to improve overall health.

In my experience in the health and fitness industry, I have recognized that very rarely do many of my clients focus on, consider, or even become aware of their internal health status, but only later after health has destabilized to the point of illness or The disease, many recognize it in the lack of energy, motivation, fluctuating weight (not always increased) and, finally, a reduced state of health.

Here are some questions to ask yourself and answer… honestly!

1. Are you concerned about the amount of toxins and chemicals in your environment?

2. Do you feel you are getting enough nutrition from the foods you are currently eating?

3. Do you eat organic products?

4. Are you currently getting a good 8 hours of sleep each night?

5. Do you feel alert every morning when you wake up?

6. Are you having trouble losing weight?

7. Do you consume coffee, tea, sugar, candy or similar products to give you a boost during the day?

• More than 65 insecticides, pesticides and herbicides can be found in everyday products bought in the market?

• More people today depend on external stimulants to get through the day, with caffeine being the biggest culprit

• Most of us have scheduled maintenance for our car, home air conditioner, water systems and even our swimming pools. but we are not always so diligent with our own internal maintenance.

“Education, not medication, is the key to optimal, sustainable health and wellness”

So you see the biggest issue (pardon the pun) for many people today and in our day and age in our western societies is not just a lack of fitness, motivation, determination but also a lack of real knowledge and education. for healthy eating and sustainability. As a health professional I believe in and promote a holistic approach to a complete and sustainable lifestyle. Health professionals should educate clients and patients toward a holistic and integrated lifestyle through proper nutrition and exercise. I firmly believe that education, not medication, is the key to optimal, sustainable health and wellness.

• EXCERCISE. Your healthy motivation to succeed!

Gone are the days when:

1. A simple walk around the block was the motivation to go to the shops and buy the milk and bread. On the contrary, Today: driving to the shops by car is much more time efficient.

2. A game of football, cricket or soccer in the street was interrupted by passing cars and the milkman! Instead Today: interrupted by a new game for “simulated game console”

3. One rainy day we spent inside playing cards, building miniature battlegrounds in the bedroom, a game of monopoly or scrabble Contrast today: hours spent in front of the 100 cm creature playing the latest software game

4. The tired parent prepares a simple meal consisting of a plate of fresh carrots, celery, cheese, tomato, pepper, cucumber, beetroot, apples, bananas, nuts, rolls, sliced ham and turkey… and that’s it. i can remember since i was 5 years old. Instead today: order FAT, RICH, FLOWERY TAKE AWAY

These are just a few examples of the changes I have noticed in the Australian western cultured background over the last 30 years and I grew up in a large family where everyone who could. played football, gymnastics, cricket, basketball, hockey, volleyball, tennis, AFL, rugby league, rugby union. Exercise has been left in the dark and only dedicated individuals remain, aiming for sport. Otherwise, they are those who commit to some sort of weekly fitness program with a personal trainer. To those who don’t have a personal trainer and are lasting more than 12 months, striving for above average health… congratulations. I’m talking about those who might be in the gold pass category at their local gym, I’m talking about those who go out any time of the year and participate in some sort of exercise program or personal health interest.

1. What makes you snack, is it the coffee or the endorphins?

2. What food did you eat as a child, was it chocolate cake or fruit?

3. How many times can you run around the block without getting tired?

4. Have you been inspired to go for a walk, ride, run or swim in the last 30 days?

5. Have you just eaten so much food that you feel lethargic?

6. How many times did you get sick this year?

7. How many times did you get sick last year?

NOTE: This is the beginning of my Global Campaign: HOLISTIC LIVING. this is the first of my monthly “Holistic Health Tips”

I will continue to place them in the same HEALTH AND FITNESS category. NUTRITION
